“what do you say to a sister who is about to enter the sea?

when you don't know if she will be met with storms or calm water, when you don't know what journey awaits and how she'll make it to shore, what do you say to a sister when you see her scan the horizon...hesitant and unsure, when you know her fear and the work that lays ahead…when you know she'll come out the other side changed, softer, perhaps or maybe even scarred but stronger too no doubt. You walk with her as deep as you can into those waters. and you hold her close as long as you can… and then you let go and let her dive deep- knowing that there are parts of this journey she must make alone… knowing there are storms she must face on her own-

and you stand, a lighthouse, the shore as she becomes one with the sea...” -Catie Atkinson @SpiritySol

What I Hold Sacred

My path to becoming a doula began while trying to conceive. During that time, I began to understand just how deeply the threshold into motherhood can be misunderstood, undervalized, and overlooked. I became deeply curious by the profound transformation that happens when a person becomes a mother—not just physically, but emotionally & spiritually.

I found myself drawn to the sacred work of mothering the mother.

And, in many ways, becoming a doula became a rebirth experience for me as well.

Coming from an estranged relationship with my own parents, this work has been deeply healing and alchemical.

Supporting mothers through one of life's most transformative thresholds has invited me to continually explore my own story, soften old places, and transform what was once painful into something Beautiful.

Doula work changed my life. It gave me not just a purpose but it’s a calling, a language for the kind of presence I had always wanted from my own mother and can now without reservation offer it to my dreamy clients.

I now get to devote myself to something I deeply care about, Doula work is an exquisite form of devotion, and it’s a rare gem in the landscape of care.

- it’s my legacy

The Journey Together

How I Support You

I believe birth begins long before labor. It begins in the preparation—the conversations, the questions, the fears, the hopes, and the gradual process of becoming.

My support is rooted in presence. In being a steady witness and a mirror when you need to remember your own strength. In meeting your eyes across the room and reminding you that you are not alone. In offering the kind of deep, grounded care that feels a little like grandmother energy: warm, intuitive, protective, wise, and unhurried.

During pregnancy, we prepare together through movement, breath, sound, conversation, education, and emotional support. We explore what helps you feel connected to your body, your voice, your intuition, and the person you are becoming.

During birth, I hold space for the full spectrum of the experience: The intensity. The uncertainty. The power. The tenderness. I hold the emotional capacity to stay present in the moments that feel big, raw, or overwhelming. I do not need you to be anything other than exactly who you are.

Because I believe you deserve to feel safe enough to soften, strong enough to surrender, and supported enough to meet every part of yourself that birth may reveal.

And above all, I believe in love.

Love is a language we all understand. It is what allows us to feel safe enough to be ourselves, And perhaps, in the sacred threshold of birth, safe enough to birth ourselves anew.

My role is not to tell you how to birth.

It is to help you remember that you already carry so much wisdom within you.

I am here to witness you, reflect your strength back to you, hold steady when things feel intense, and remind you—again and again—that you do not have to do this alone.

A Prayer for the Threshold

I was raised Catholic, and spent more than 20 years as an unconventional practicing Christian. Over time, my understanding of faith has expanded and deepened. Today, Love is my sacred devotion, and that God is far greater than any one religion, tradition, or definition.

As your doula, I will hold a prayer in my heart for you as you cross the threshold into motherhood. Whatever you believe—or don't believe—you are welcome here. My role is to honor your path, your faith, your questions, and your own way of making meaning of this sacred transition.

“She does not need to be saved. She needs to be witnessed, held, and reminded of the ancient wisdom already living within her”- Heidi

  • We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Heidi and the support she gave our family throughout our pregnancy and the birth of our daughter, Olivia. Our labor was long, and Heidi was there with us for nearly 24 hours. What stood out most was her ability to read the room and understand exactly what we needed. She knew when to gie my wife and me space to be together and when to step in and provide support, reassurance, or guidance. We would wholeheartedly recommend Heidi to any expecting family looking for a doula who is compassionate, knowledgeable, dependable, calming, and truly invested in the families she supports.

  • "Heidi was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting to the birth, she was incredible helpful and knowledgeable. She provided us with so many helpful tools to get us through the birth and supported us every step of the way. She never made us feel rushed and always gave special attention to our older daughter. She was so great with her which was so helpful! She never overstepped any boundaries and was always there when we needed her. I am beyond grateful that we had Heidi as part of our team for Lily's birth! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula."

  • After a frustrating start with another doula, I had the chance to interview a few new options and ended up choosing Heidi, which turned out to be the absolute best decision I could have made. Right from our very first conversation, she was so warm, attentive, and easy to talk to. My birth and postpartum journey came with a lot of unexpected trauma, but Heidi was a constant source of support through it all. She continuously went above and beyond for me, showing up with the kind of deep care and devotion you rarely find. She is truly a special person. More than a doula, I now consider her a friend. If you're looking for that "🦄 unicorn" doula who will truly advocate for you and hold space for whatever comes our way. I couldn't recommend Heidi more.

  • "Heidi was so helpful throughout our experience together! She helped me and my partner to prepare for the birth of our baby with effective techniques for before, during and after birth. She guided us in both physical exercises as well as emotional and spiritual practices to help us connect and stay tuned to the experience. Heidi was available for any questions I had and shared so much information and recommendations that were truly helpful. I would recommend her services to any mom-to-be that's looking for an additional support in their birthing journey."

  • "From the moment I met Heidi, I felt supported and at peace. She guided me through my third trimester and the delivery of my now 8-month-old baby with so much care, reassurance, and empowerment. She was always available whenever I needed her, and we bonded instantly. Not only was she an incredible doula, but she also beautifully captured our birth through her photography — memories we will cherish forever. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you, Heidi "
